EBA, A Tetra Tech Company (EBA), would like you to join us for breakfast to hear keynote speaker Kate Wilson, Director, Technology Development CCEMC, and to participate in an information session on Thursday, June 23, from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.

 

The Climate Change and Emissions Management Corporation (CCEMC) is a not-for-profit Corporation dedicated to the discovery, development and deployment of clean technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and assist Alberta in adapting to climate change. CCEMC is offering $60M in funding to solutions that focus on greening energy production and carbon capture and storage through the April 2011 Call for Proposals with a maximum contribution to an individual project of $10M.

EBA Ambassador Number Seven Currently In Ethiopia

EBA Ambassador Number Seven Currently In EthiopiaLia Thiesmann of the Calgary Natural Science Group left for Ethiopia this week and will be there over the next two weeks. She is the seventh EBA staff member to visit the country since 2006 as part of EBA's 10-year commitment to support the charitable activities of Partners in the Horn of Africa. These include water protection sites, footbridges, school upgrades, health posts, orphanages and reforestation plots. She left armed with a fistful of pens and other items for the children she encounters. Thankfully, it is still the dry season there and temperatures range from 10 to 25 degrees Celsius.
