I am the coach for my son Layne’s Timbit Canadiens hockey team (ages 4-6). Being involved in kids' sports is a valuable part of being a parent and contributing to the community and a spin-off is business development opportunities.

This year the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Association indicated that the team jerseys provided by Tim Hortons were to last three years, so the kids would not get to keep their jerseys. The jerseys are a highlight for the kids so for Christmas with sponsorship from EBA and myself, I was able to provided jerseys for the kids to keep. Ten of the kids on the team are shown in the picture and another five were missing the day I handed them out. By coincidence (or not) I have two kids on the team whose parents are clients of EBA (Alberta Transportation and Stantec).

I had some pretty happy kids and overwhelmed parents who were very thankful.
