Reducing Bird Strikes at Airports
Home // Reducing Bird Strikes at Airports
Wednesday, February 04, 2009

Bird strikes cost the airline industry many hundreds of millions of dollars every year and put passenger safety at risk. Effective management of wildlife at airports requires specialized knowledge of wildlife identification and habitat use, habitat management, rare and endangered species, wildlife control measures and firearms safety.

EBA helps airports conduct wildlife risk assessments and develop wildlife management plans to reduce the risk of bird strikes. We offer custom workshops to train airport staff to recognize and manage problem wildlife and learn about the latest techniques and technologies. Over the last eight years, EBA airport and wildlife specialists have trained hundreds of staff at dozens of airports, both large and small, from coast to coast.
